Shoal Creek Water Festival

Wildcat Glades Conservation & Audubon Center will be holding the Shoal Creek Water Festival July 31 at Wildcat Park from 10:00 am-3:00 pm. Celebrate the wonders of water! Crawford County Fair
August 4th - 7th l Girard, KS

Held annually the first full week of August at the Crawford County Fairgrounds. Four-H Clubs, extension homemaker clubs, and agricultural groups display their fruits, vegetables and other homegrown and homemade projects. The livestock auction allows 4-H members to disiplay and sell their livestock. In addition to touring the displays, there is even more family fun at the carnival, rodeo and demolition derby.

Emancipation Park Days

A fun filled three day annual event that has been in existence for over 80 years in Joplin! The Celebration is open to the community and surrounding cites.

6:00 pm with a Gospel program,
9:00 pm a teen dance on the tennis court featuring music from 4State Entertainment,
9:00 pm an Ol' Skool Jam will be held at TRIO's in downtown Joplin for the over 21 crowd!
 
Saturday: 
10:00 am-3:00 pm, A car show is being held, featuring the ICC Corvette Club!
12:00-5:00 pm, There will be House of Bounce fun time for kids along with face painting, chalk art contests and lots of giveaways! Come listen to bands from Tulsa Ok on Saturday evening featuring, Wall Street, and Dues Paid!

Ride for the Red Road Rally
August 14th l Joplin, MO

Registration is 11am to 1 pm with the last bike/car out for the Poker Run at 1pm.
 
Cost of the Ride is $25 for one Rider/Driver; $35 for 2 Riders/Drivers. This includes cost of dinner, one Patch and Pin and a hand in the poker run.

This is a Fundraiser for the Greater Ozarks Chapter of the ARC-Joplin Office, all monies raised will stay locally to support Disaster Services and Volunteer training. For more information visit their website at

Svitak Freedom Ride

Rufus Racing will be holding the Svitak Freedom Ride beginning at 7:00 am at MSSU football stadium parking lot. The Svitak Freedom Ride is a bike tour that benefits the Svitak Memorial Fund. This fund buys bikes for children of military families at Christmas time. This is the 9th Annual year for this event. Some of the highlights you can expect for 2010 include: great course and riding company; 3 route choices--10, 25, & 64 miles; Rest stops available approximately every 10 miles with water, food, and sports drink; Sag service ; Post Race Cinnamon Rolls & Fruit Smoothies and a T-shirt and water bottle for all registered riders.
